Protecting Israel’s Nature and Heritage for Future Generations
Israel’s ancient sites are treasures of global significance. The American Friends of INHF (AFINH) offers supporters in the United States a powerful way to ensure that Israel’s historical legacy and natural beauty remain vibrant and accessible. Join us in protecting our landscapes and educating about the heritage that brings Israel’s story and spirit to life.
Mobilizing Support for Israel’s Heritage
AFINH mobilizes support in the United States, helping to protect Israel’s living landscapes and irreplaceable cultural heritage. It operates in close collaboration with the Israel Nature & Parks Authority through the Israel Nature & Heritage Foundation (INHF). Our shared priorities are clear: protect biodiversity and ecosystems, conserve and restore heritage sites, and educate future stewards.
Exciting Projects Currently Underway
Our commitment to the land is ongoing and multifaceted, encompassing the active stabilization of heritage sites, the protection of endangered ecosystems, and the vital education of future leaders.
Protecting Israel’s Natural and Cultural Treasures
In partnership with the Israel Antiquities Authority and the Israel Nature & Parks Authority, we are securing critical funding for essential commitments across the land. These projects stabilize historic structures, protect vital ecosystems, and elevate educational impact for future generations.
We are leading multi-phase ancient synagogue restoration efforts at Baram, Yehudiya, Arbel, and Korazim to stabilize these centers of Jewish community life and rebuild historic features like the monumental Baram facade.
Our work extends to international landmarks through ongoing support for the conservation of Roman theaters and internationally recognized national parks to ensure their stories remain alive for all who visit.
Protecting Biodiversity
We manage vital marine life conservation programs dedicated to the protection of sea turtles.
Our team facilitates habitat and welfare projects for endangered species, including the Persian fallow deer, Arabian oryx, and vultures.
Educating the Next Generation
We focus on stewardship by instilling values of responsibility and a deep connection to the land among young people across Israel.
Our programs are dedicated to cultivating future leaders, creating the next generation of stewards to protect Israel’s natural beauty and historical legacy.
