Public backing for nature and heritage conservation in Israel
The Public Forum is a civil society group established within the Israel Nature and Heritage Foundation to support and promote the important tasks of nature, landscape and heritage protection in Israel, out of an understanding that this is an interest shared by all of Israeli society.
The forum’s task is to provide public backing, raise awareness of the importance of these issues in additional circles and promote them by enlisting support, partnerships and resources toward their accomplishment.
The members of the Public Forum can also become directly involved and exposed to the issues and challenges of nature and landscape protection by participating in tours and special activities for members.
Among the projects the foundation supports the Public Forum focuses on support for nature conservation education of children and young people from outlying areas and from the variety of ethnic groups that make up Israeli society.
These programs, which include trips to nature reserves and national parks, are being implemented with great success by professionals and guides of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority in schools throughout the country. They enlist communities in the work and connect the younger generation to the love and protection of nature.
The Public Forum is the public backing for shared responsibility for Israel’s landscapes and image.
Joining the Public Forum
Members of the Public Forum come from a broad spectrum of Israeli society. Membership provides the opportunity to take part in an important initiative: promoting the conservation of Israel’s unique nature, landscape and heritage sites.
The fee for joining the public forum is NIS 1,200 a year, including a donation of NIS 500 for educational programs about nature for children and young people as part of the Adopt-a-Class program.

אני קורא להצטרף לפורום הציבורי, להיות חלק מחוג הנאמנים לטבע, ובכך להרחיב את התמיכה הנחוצה להגנה על הנכסים המשותפים והחשובים לכולנו.”.”
